JAAGO Students Sit for the SSC Examination 2025

Twelve years ago, a group of brilliant minds stepped into JAAGO, marking the beginning of their educational journey. Born into poverty—where access to education was a luxury instead of a right, these children had little more than hope in their pockets and dreams in their hearts. But they also had something incredibly powerful–a chance. A chance to break the cycle, to build a future and to become more than what the world expected of them.

Take the story of Masum, for example. Masum’s father is a vegetable vendor. He was raised in a tiny one-room house in Rayer Bazar, where four family members shared both space and dreams. His father sold vegetables from a van, tirelessly navigating neighbourhood streets each day, while his mother managed the household with care and devotion. Their income is modest, but their hopes for Masum are boundless.

Masum’s father dreamed of seeing his son become an engineer, and every day, Masum arrives at school with the goal of fulfilling his father’s dreams. Today, as he prepares for one of the most important exams of his life, Masum stands as a symbol of resilience—not just his own but that of every family who dares to dream despite hardship. His story is a reminder that when opportunity meets perseverance, incredible things can happen.

Similar is the story of Humaira. Humaira’s father is a day labourer, her mother works as a household help. Together, they take care of a family of 6. For this family, financial struggle is an everyday reality. But Humaira did not let her circumstances define her future. With sheer determination and hope to build a brighter tomorrow for herself and her family, Humaira marched on, and now, as she sits for the SSC exam, she proves that resilience and ambition can triumph over adversity. Her journey is not just about academic success but a testament to the power of dreams and the courage to pursue them against all odds.

Such stories of struggle are not only of Masum and Humaira only, but of every one of our students. Despite the hardships, each day, they showed up. Some walked miles through narrow alleys. Some studied by candlelight. Some battled hunger and uncertainty. But all of them carried with them a fierce determination to rise.

To rise above poverty. To rise above prejudice. To rise above every “no” they had ever been told. Today, that rise has taken them to a remarkable moment—the SSC Examination of 2025.

For many, the SSC is a standardised checkpoint on an academic timeline. But for these children, it’s a triumph. That admit card in their hands is more than a piece of paper—it’s a symbol. A symbol of perseverance. Of sacrifice. Of belief. Of late nights spent studying, of early mornings filled with hope, and of a decade-long fight for a better tomorrow.

This moment isn’t just about passing an exam. It’s about rewriting stories. It’s about showing that, given the opportunity, every child, regardless of background, can rise, shine, and inspire.

This journey has not been walked alone. It has been powered by the unconditional support of our child sponsors, private sector partners, and well-wishers, who believed in a vision where no child is left behind.

To every supporter who stood beside these children—thank you. You didn’t just support education, you invested in potential. You helped ignite hope. Because of you, children who once were uncertain of receiving education now have the chance of a future filled with unlimited possibilities. These young minds are now on a journey of becoming doctors, engineers, artists, scientists, and so much more, all thanks to your generosity.

But 1100 of our students still await a sponsor parent to support their dreams. Through JAAGO’s Sponsor A Child program, you can step forward and stand by these children.
