Position Summary

JAAGO Foundation is looking for a committed and experienced Youth Coordinator to join its Youth Development Program (YDP). This role is central to guiding and supervising district-level Youth Coordinators, ensuring the smooth execution of youth-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering young people, skilled in team leadership and mentorship, and able to drive impact through strong communication and organizational abilities. By providing strategic direction and hands-on support, the Youth Coordinator will play a vital role in advancing the goals of the YDP.  

Job Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Strengthen the Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) network in the Concerned Division.
  • Expand VBD’s presence in schools, colleges, and public and private universities across the concerned districts. 
  • Build effective communication channels between the National Board, Divisional Board, and District Committees. 
  • Ensure proper implementation of organizational policies and bylaws in all volunteer activities.
  • Compile and maintain data and information on volunteers, projects, and campaigns.
  • Submit bills and necessary financial documentation to JAAGO HQ. 
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. 

Supervision and Management 

  • Conduct and monitor all organizational activities in Concerned Division. 
  • Oversee meetings, campaigns, and project activities led by volunteers in the districts.
  • Ensure regular inspection and physical presence during volunteer activities. 
  • Provide follow-up on meetings and support the implementation of sustainable initiatives by volunteers. 

Program Planning and Implementation 

  • Plan and budget events and activities for youth and volunteers in Concerned Division.
  • Facilitate all types of skill development training for VBD volunteers. 
  • Develop and execute divisional programs aligned with organizational goals.

Communication and Networking 

  • Foster collaboration and partnerships with local university clubs, youth organizations, and stakeholders. 
  • Maintain regular communication with all relevant stakeholders, including local government and administrative bodies. 
  • Arrange and coordinate local and national events on behalf of the organization.
  • Visit district units and directly engage with volunteers to strengthen relationships and organizational reach. 

Monitoring and Reporting 

  • Ensure proper reporting and documentation of divisional and district-level activities as required by Donor. 
  • Monitor implementation progress and track the impact of campaigns and volunteer-driven initiatives. 

 Safeguarding 

  • Uphold and promote the organization’s safeguarding policies to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults engaged in our activities.
  • Immediately report any concerns, suspicions, or incidents of safeguarding breaches in line with the organization’s reporting procedures. 
  • Maintain professional boundaries and conduct that fosters a safe and respectful environment for all beneficiaries, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Disaster Management, Sociology, or a related discipline. 

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in both Bangla and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in youth-focused programs, including both professional and volunteer roles. 
  • Candidates with prior experience in NGOs/INGOs will be given preference. 

Skills

  • Proven leadership and team supervision capabilities. 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. 
  • Working knowledge of office software and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google workspace, etc).
