Project Officer, Project Implementation Team

Position Summary 

The Project Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the Dasra–FYL Project across 8 divisions and 64 upazilas. The role involves ensuring timely delivery of planned activities—including capacity-building training, grassroots leadership activation, and Community Action Projects—while maintaining close collaboration with youth coordinators, divisional boards, and community stakeholders. The Project Officer will serve as the primary link between the Project Manager, Youth Coordinators, and field-level participants, ensuring quality assurance, compliance, and reporting. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Support project inception activities, including needs assessment, training module development, and participant selection at the upazila level. 
  • Coordinate and oversee divisional and district-level leadership training, grassroots youth activation sessions, and youth-led Community Action Projects. 
  • Provide technical and logistical support to 16 Youth Coordinators for decentralized leadership and monitoring. 
  • Ensure inclusion and safeguarding standards during training and community engagement, particularly for women, youth with disabilities, and minority groups. 
  • Monitor implementation progress, collect data for MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment & Learning) frameworks, and prepare regular narrative and financial updates. 
  • Facilitate communication between divisional/district youth boards, JAAGO central team, and project stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to knowledge documentation, case studies, and success stories for donor reporting and visibility. 
  • Support budget tracking and ensure cost-effective use of resources. 
  • Represent JAAGO Foundation Trust in divisional and community forums relevant to project activities.

  • Immediately report any concerns, suspicions, or incidents of safeguarding breaches in line with the organization’s reporting procedures. 
  • Maintain professional boundaries and conduct that fosters a safe and respectful environment for all beneficiaries, colleagues, and stakeholders. 

Qualifications

 Education: 

  • Master’s degree in social science, Development Strategy, Disaster Management, or any related field. 

 Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on youth-related projects. 

 Skills and other competencies 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain relationships. 
  • Strong field monitoring and evaluation skills. 
  • Proficiency in Google Apps, AI tools and other project management tools. 
  • Fluent in both English and Bengali.
